Irys appoints new CTO to lead AI strategy and product development in the next stage of growth

Carlos Toxtli, formerly at Microsoft, Google, and Twitch, brings over 20+ years of experience in Human Computer Interaction, AI, Data Science, and executive experience in development and operations for product strategy and vision to help companies capitalize on market opportunities to continue growing.

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - March 22, 2021- Irys, a leading SaaS platform in the “community collaboration” space for developing modern apps, announced today the appointment of Carlos Toxtli as chief technology officer. In this role, Toxtli will oversee the company’s overall product direction and development and will lead the engineering, product, and infrastructure teams.

Toxtli brings more than 20 years of software, systems, and product development expertise to Irys, including software engineering, product management, artificial intelligence, and robotic process automation. Most recently, Toxtli served as a Research Scientist at Microsoft Research, Twitch, and West Virginia University.

Toxtli is based in West Virginia and holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of West Virginia and an MBA from the IEDE Business School, European University of Madrid.

What is your vision for the company’s product development? Bring Irys to the next level by setting not only the best infrastructure possible but also the mechanisms to evolve with the users’ needs. Having a robust, extensible, and data-driven platform will empower users to make Irys their trusted ally.
